Because family had been gathering in Dallas this week for the holidays, Shirley Weitzel and other family members got to be with her dad yesterday to listen to some carolers. He passed away this morning.

Because she's in Dallas, she does not have Internet access, so she asked me to post this to let her friends know. Please note that she asked not to be called today; I'm sure the grief is too new, and there's much to be done. I'll post when there's more news, or you can send me a private message or e-mail if you want more information and I haven't posted it.

And I know we'll all do what we do best--Shirley needs extra Blundervibes today and tomorrow. It will be a rough Christmas.

I talked with Shirley last night, and she asked me to tell you all how grateful she is for the Blundervibes, love, and prayers that she can feel pouring in. She's hoping that a neighbor of her Mom's will help her get online today. (We live too far from there to be of any use that way.) I'll keep you posted as best I can.--Shelley
