RB : Take good care of you. It's indeed a winding road, and a long one at that!

I'm really happy for your progress Rob......you had me (us) pretty worried :!: You sound strong and clear to me :D And cuz I love you, please be careful with the oxy's......I hope you don't think I 'm intruding in any way, I know you are in lot of pain......it's just that in my line of work I see terrible things happen with this stuff, mostly by accident. I'll shut up now  Love to Sue.....Peace, Kevin

I'm with Kevin on the Oxy warning, Rob. My better half works in an addictions psych office and says that a good number of cases are from prescribed pain killers. Sounds like you know that though. That's over half the battle, right there. Being aware of what they can and might do.

Welcome back! Hope things go better for ya. Continued prayers and vibes. Speaking of the Grammy, I found out after they were over that my cousin Jason Mraz won 2 Grammys. Finally someone good won some. I wish I'd known he was gonna be on there and I would've watched. I need to look up & see if there is somewhere on YouTube or something where I can watch him on there. Hang in there...

Hey, Rob, look at Levon Helm! With the encouragement of friends and family and self-determination, he recovered from throat cancer surgery and went on to win two consecutive Grammies for two consecutive albums, "Dirt Farmer" and "Electric Dirt"! He's one of my heros! You'll get there, man!

My son says the kids call it "OC" and it's at pandemic levels of addiction among the college kids and younger. I've two relatives that are hooked. Excellent for pain but not less addictive than the alternatives apparently.

I'm not worried about ya, Rob. You know what it's all about. Hang in there. That six string will keep you going.

Are you currently on the fentynal patch Rob? My wife had that for a while also. She got in trouble with her doc though when she showed up with 2 on at one time. One was spent and she had forgotten where she had stuck it on. In those days things were quite hazy for her unfortunately.

Again, I hope things work out well for you.

I got a gum infection this week and the dentist can't see me until Monday. I've got to sing a duet for two services on Sunday and lead the congregation in the service hymms (choir director on vacation). So it's me, antibiotics and a big bottle of hydrocodone.

So I talk a good game, Rob, but I'll be pretty stoned for the next few days anyway. Me and you, babe. Let it alllllll hang out.

Len, please call your dentist and have them call a prescription for a general antibiotic to your local pharmacy. By Sunday you will be free of infection. If you wait until Monday to see a dentist, um , lets not go there. Have a great duet!

So glad you got to have relaxing time. Hope RB & Len get better soon. Prayers and vibes just said for both. Hope Len feels better for church. We may not get to go cuz of a stupid snow and sleet and rain event starting this am. Which means I won't get to go to the bluegrass jams. Yuck...

Thanks MG. Did exactly that yesterday. Swelling this morning but getting better. If stabilized, I'll make it to Monday. Fuzzy from the hydrocodone but I've good response to that painkiller.

Thanks guys. Staying at home to stay out of driver's seat. :)

Len, take care of that throat. Vicodan is great for masking that type of stuff. Just don't turn out like Dr. House on that TV program. How he swallows those horse pills without water is beyond the scope.... lol

only on t.v. it's like watching a cop show, where the people shooting at one another, dodge bullets..... too funny.... I can't imagine, ducking from a 38 caliber....

Stay safe, and may God-bless

RB
