Sounds like a wonderful day Louise. Do you get snow where you live?

I think rb is on myspace mostly now a days, that's where I've heard from him.

I just had to go back and edit my last post cos I'd written that I'd never seen the paddocks this wet in summer instead of winter! I think I got all the conversions right! See what happens when you try to live in two hemispheres at once! (and upsidedown! Too much blood rushing to the brain)

No Cheryl no snow worst luck!!! It is sub tropical here in South East Queensland, on a really cold winter morning we might get a frost but that doesn't happen every year! In north Qld it's not cold at all. Australia is the same size as the US but we only have six states plus the Northern Territory so there is alot of temp differences over a state.
But there is plenty of snow at the moment in the mountains down in New South Wales and Victoria. Ski season!

Snow talk on my thread..in July?!?!....Ok I,ll do my best to ignore. It should be easier then ignoring the crap load we got here during our winter.
There is a huge piece of a trunk of a tree in a park close by here that was cut down last year it has to be at least 4 feet across and 20 feet long.I,ve been thinking of hollowing it out, climbing inside and shipping it to certain folks that work with wood in Texas around September so I can miss the winter here.

Last winter my nephew in Florida was so excited when he saw his first real snow at age five he just ran right ourside to play in it. Problem was that he had only played in the fake snow they bring to the Laury Park Zoo in Tampa, and a minute after he ran out he ran back in crying because his bare feet were freezing.

I miss the smell..............you know, at night, when it's been snowing and the air is still....you know the smell I mean.
And during the day, the sun sparkling on the snow.

And the silence.

Believe me, it takes a lot to render Texas silent, but snow will do it everytime.

Never for Christmas mind you, but we have had a snowy Halloween and a snowy Valentine's Day.

yep today I was thinking about that after it snows silence! Cold clear night snow on the ground, stars out, and that beautiful silence. Tonight it's kinda like that here except no snow (but it's cold). Lots of silence at night where I live........beautiful.

oh, right, cheryl...lol..
was thinkin about living in the city and the constant hum of whatever... the snow makes it quieter... but i prefer to be in the country on a warm day by a lake or...
that's the best silence...for a while every day...

in between music, voices ... all that stuff... 8)

Got off the (cell)phone with Ceashel a little while ago, who said they're having trouble with their house phone. Hence, they're having trouble getting on line. They're hoping the phone company will fix whatever's wrong tomorrow, but if you're thinking she and Cliffite are being very quiet all of a sudden, that is why.
