For a decade in the 70's I never got a haircut. Then when the 90's turned into the 70's looking and feeling like the 60's my long hair returned for another decade. Ringing in the new millenium, I shaved my head. For a couple yrs. a brush cut, seemed the 'in' thing...(great feeling, out of the shower and NO wet hair..No hair period...lol.

**Now I have the 'Berry Sheck' look...<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/eek.gif" width=15 height=15> But to keep that going, I have to go to the barber every 6 weeks...

***I'm finding this experience worse than the Dentist (and I don't much care for pain)!! I wonder if this is an inbred chararistic of not wanting a haircut, or subconscienciously I'm a cheap-skate???

I may never know...But am keeping my hair short, non-the-less...Maybe when it gets grey, I'll change my out-look......<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/confused.gif" width=15 height=22>

Neat facts about hair. There's a passage in the Bible, (trust me on this one) that mentions a person with silvery (white) hair, is considered a sage. And when you look back thru history, there are allot of genious's with white hair....Ex...Albert E..

*my mother-in-law has always had white hair...thus, me being cursed from ever calling her stupid....

**Is white hair a genetic thing??? My brother's and I are all 5 yrs. apart in age.(something I'm sure my Dad didn't plan)
Long story short, my youngest brother and my two older brothers have grey hair...I DO not.. The barber says I must have a long 'stress' threshold. I just think, I'm refusing to grow old...Thinking this might work in the short term???

**streamin, flaxin, waxin........<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

My grandma had white hair. I sure hope I don't inherit it. Lucky me I get gray hair at 40 something. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/laugh.gif" width=15 height=15>

My dad went completely gray at 19. People always thought my mom was his daughter. Can't tell you how much my mom enjoyed this.

Confusion say: Bald man with no teeth needs neither hair shop nor dentist. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/confused.gif" width=15 height=22>

That silver hair sage thing would suggest that my face is wiser than my head, because my beard is far more grey than my hair? <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/confused.gif" width=15 height=22>

my feeling was that grey haired folks had wiser thoughts... grey bearded folks (and that's Larnie!) have wise mouths!
Now.. folks like nathen with greying hair on their butts are wise asses!

I figured I share an pretty embrassing moment...it made me realize how silly the hair issue really is!

when I was a kid my dad used to hassle my brother about getting his hair cut (this was the early 70's and my dad was a retired marine!)..well imagine my surprise years later when my own kids WANTED to have "crew cuts"...all I could tell myself is, what goes around comes around...

besides, its just hair afterall...

hmmm, arlo as sage? does he know?

All I know is, every time I go in for surgery, I come out with more grey hair. Weird, huh? <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/uhoh.gif" width=15 height=15>

Just think..if we didn't get gray as we got older, some people would probably dye their hair silver. Context is everything.
