Well, if they are taping for a release, we have to try and use our influence <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/laugh.gif" width=15 height=15> to make sure that Kitty's part of the show gets included... I'll watch PBS or whatever (Is it PBS that's taping these shows? or who???), and buy a copy of the tape as part of their fund drive if that's the only way to get it...

No, actually it's Arlo who's taping the shows for a live CD with the symphony.

You mean we have to wait for ARLO to decide to release it???

Better find someone willing to take the chance and stealth tape after all!!!

Thank you Arlo for sharing the stage and if anyone can make tapes of the show, I along with so many others would enjoy a copy and what's more, now that I am working I can even pay for it.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

I am just so happy for Kitty. She really deserves the chance, and I know she won't let us down.
If there's a list, sign me up. Otherwise, I will wait for a live cd to be released of this amazing event!
Best wishes, Kitty!!

I got the Richmond show on audio tape! & Got some pics too! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15> It was a great show! He got a great reception & did 2 encores. For the 3rd he came out & bowed! (Setlist to come in a few days)...

Before the show we happened to run into Uncle Arlo & talked to him for a few minutes. We welcomed him to Richmond. We told him this was a local show for us and this show was only an hour's drive from us, and we were very happy to have him in our area . He said he could only talk for a few minutes because he was going to get something to eat. Won't bore ya with conversation details. But I have some gig news that makes me happy woman next yr! I won't mention it here cuz I want Dave to have the glory of being the first to announce it. But I am so excited & Uncle Arlo is happy too. He told us he was going to have to go eat & would see us later so I wished him good luck on the show & off he went to onto the bus to eat.

& We walked around & saw Dennis & said HI to him awhile. Saw what looked like Abe running around from quite a distance & we found out from Dennis that Abe was there & wasn't there to sing, just to help load up the stuff. We never did get to see him...
So we went to our car to get our stuff & then pick inside to wait on the show. Jessica who sells the t-shirts & stuff for Arlo & her twin sister Jennifer were both there & they sold the stuff for Arlo. We watched them setup the stuff they were selling for Arlo. Their parents didn't come this time.

Finally the show began. The Symphony came out & did a few songs & then Uncle Arlo! We had seats in front row center right in front of the man! Awesome! An orchestra pit which was empty was in front of us making him further from us than he should've been. It was a great show! Petie & Martha & Eric were there. They were on front row too. Cary from Arlonet was there too! The guy who sat next to us was really nice. He talked to us & he's been to a lot of the Arlo shows we've been to! The symphony did a few songs of their own (yawn) & then Arlo! During intermission we met one of the fiddle players in the symphony & told him they had done a nice job with Arlo.

We never did find Uncle Arlo after the gig. This dumb concert worker man who was kinda rude said we couldn't go around there cuz they wouldn't let the singers meet people. So they didn't let him see anyone & us & Petie & Martha & Eric. Thank God I ran into him earlier.

I am pissed off royally at the Richmond Pig Department LOL! Mike has a handicapped parking tag due to his diabetes having made him legally blind. I had parked in the handicapped parking & had Mikes handicapped tag sitting out. When we got back to the car there was a ticket from a fuzz for $100 saying we were illegally parked in the handicapped parking. I know for a fact we had the handicapped tag up! So now I gotta call tomorrow & tell them we did too have the handicapped tag up & ask how to get the parking ticket dropped. They will not get one red cent LOL!!!! Why don't they chase criminals instead of ticketing folks who are obeying the law? They are supposed to be eating donuts!!!! I think the fuzz there all need eye exams! I am sooo mad over this!!!!

Now that I've gotten my rant about the wrong parking ticket outta the way LOL, we did have a nice time.

& I'd love a video of the Carnagie gig. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Thanks, you all.

I feel pretty blessed that all this has come to be. What perfect timing...to have this to be so thankful for on Thanksgiving!

Thank you Arlo for putting the chance "out there".

Thank you to all the folks who helped me get that chance.

And thank you to all of you who have expressed such nice thoughts!

I heard someone say that dreams are "blueprints of reality".
Starts with an idea.
Sharing that idea sure helps.

I am trying to remember to stay calm and focused in the midst of all this.

Very much like flying a kite...
The dream is the shape, color and consistancy of the kite.
For it to actually FLY, it needs a tail for balance, a string to connect and allow height and someone on the ground holding the other end of that string controlling direction and length...
It's important to remember not to let go of that string.

It must be too late for the not-quite-patented "Blunderland foam brick wall." Evidently, all that head-pounding has affected someone's reading ability.

i think it's safe to assume that if neither dave or randy can get the job done..the job can't be done!

maybe we'll be lucky and someone will take a sketch pad and pencils like they use in closed courts.

thanks again,,kitty..but this is about you..

i'm sure you'll do fine on broadway..in carnegie hall..with people that performed on that stage for decades..with all them people watching...scary, huh?

You never know. There might be some accomodation for Kitty to tape, at least for her peformance. There's no way for us to tell what the powers that be Carnegie, Arlo or the symphony will decide.

Bumper, the brick wall reference was to the fact that it's been explained that trying to do unauthorized video recording at Carnegie is a total non-starter and a good way to get kicked and not even see the show. I've seen them pull people out for snapping a photo. I mean, they show up and quietly ask you to come with them..we never did find out what happened to the hapless photographers, but they never came back to their seats. Their pictures might be on milk cartons now for all we know. And they seem to get stricter every year. I think it's all moot anyway, because I'm sure that Kitty isn't mainly interested in a bootleg.
