My heart is overjoyed at the thought of the happyness that this performance will bring to Kitty, She is very talented and has appeared or performed with many famous groups, but this time is extra special for many reasons, I think her engery level is so high and her love for people so true that she will add an extra something to the show.

Thank you Arlo for sharing the stage and if anyone can make tapes of the show, I along with so many others would enjoy a copy and what's more, now that I am working I can even pay for it.

On the list, please. Glad to help defray expenses/compensate for time and trouble.

I don't know exactly what happening with Todd right now, but I have asked him if he would film the show...if he's willing...and able...
I'll make sure he has a plane (or whatever) ticket to NY and see if he can stay where I'm staying...or find a place..
Todd loves filming so much...seems like this would be something special for all of us if it could happen.
I'm just guessing that it's okay to film there...(??)

Some symphony writers at the MudCat Cafe are brainstorming on an arrangement of "Mighty Mississippi" right now for the show. We're hoping it can be finished in time...

For those considering filming or taping Carnegie... be warned, Carnegie Hall are bastards when it comes to that stuff. Last year, I asked Randy (who was actually performing with Arlo) if he taped it. His answer was "no", basically it was VERY cost prohibitive... in other words, they wanted mucho bucks (several thousand I think) - and that was for someone who was actually on stage the entire performance.

Also, if you get caught, they WILL throw you out without hesitation. Very dangerous place to try and tape. Probably not worth it. But if someone does try, you better be VERY stealthy.

I'd heard that about Carnagie & that stinks how they do. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/frown.gif" width=15 height=15> Maybe folks could take up donations to pay the thossand some needed for Carnagie to allow official taping. I guess they don't care if folks can't come to the show & want to see what they missed...

Sorry I'm so far away, too. Being in the "mystery shopping" biz, I too have access to button cams, purse cams, etc. Actually, though the video is usually really good, I don't know how well the sound would come through. (Our equipment would catch all the sound from you and those nearest you, but not necessarily from the stage.) Maybe we could get Kitty and Arlo to Michigan???? Please, please, please????

At the moment I'm waiting to hear from a symphony head about filming this as an educational thing

...going through the brainstorming right now ...it'd be great if that could happen.
More on this as soon as I know. Could be too late to push it through, but then again, maybe not!!
Here's hoping!

Actually, I didn't even think of this until just a few moments ago... but you can probably forget about taping, as I imagine they are gonna be really tight this year. I don't know if you know it yet, but they are recording these shows (Kennedy Center, Richmond, and Carnegie) for an upcoming live release. I had asked Kathy (who is helping put these shows together) about taping at the Kennedy Center last night and was told no.

I'm not saying I couldn't get the goods (audio only though) - just that it's probably not worth the risk of getting caught. And there is no way in HELL I would even think about trying to stealth video the concert... way too easy to get busted even if you're good. Also, I wouldn't want to risk losing my expensive digital video stuff - if I had any.
